Shelly: I’m the go-to gal for all things environmental (like TradeWinds sponsorship of Hands Across the Sand and Tampa Bay Watch’s oyster bar project), plus, I love to go to the many events that take place in the Tampa Bay Area.
Sandy: I like to go to local events, too; plus I’ll be giving you the inside story on TradeWinds events … like our Tampa Bay Rays Watch Parties, the TradeWinds’ sponsored Beef ‘O’ Brady’s Bowl, and live radio and TV feeds directly from our beach. You’ll also hear from me about TradeWinds new “toys” … like our new Jet Lev and our motorized surf boards. (More on my excellent surf adventure, soon.)
Shelly: More about me. (Are you ready?) I’m a volunteer, participant, or member of St. Pete Audubon, Pinellas Native Plant Society, Salvador Dali Museum, St. Pete Preservation, Morean Arts Center, Central Gulf Coast Archaeological Society, Pier Aquarium, Secrets of the Sea (opening Spring, 2013), Egmont Key Alliance, Weedon Island Preserve, Florida Anthropological Society, Florida Craftsmen Gallery, Studio @ 620, Tampa Bay Fossil Club, St. Pete Science Center, Chinsegut Nature Center, St. Pete Museum of Art, St. Pete History Museum, Tampa Bay History Center, Museum of Science & Industry, Seminole Indian War Foundation, Save Our Seabirds, Friends of Ft. Desoto, Friends of Boyd Hill Nature Park, St. Pete’s First Night celebration, Tampa Bay Beaches Chamber, and the environmental committee for the St. Pete Chamber. Whew.
Sandy: Wow, can you say over achiever? (Just kidding, Shelly!) I also love volunteering and being involved in the community. Outside of TradeWinds I’m the co-founder of The St. Petersburg Shakespeare Company, member of the Junior League of St. Petersburg, member of St. Pete Young Professionals, volunteer at my alma mater, Eckerd College, member of Keep St. Petersburg Local and blogger for LocalShops1.com and Creative Pinellas. I’m also a self-titled foodie and love anything to do with theater and the arts in general.
Shelly: As you can tell, we both love our Tampa Bay area just as much as we love TradeWinds, so you’re sure to get some good info from us!
Shelly & Sandy: We can’t wait to share all the wonderful things that are happening at TradeWinds and in the Tampa Bay area with you, and most importantly, we want to hear your comments on our blog posts.
See you on the beach!.
